Can an AI answer where-is-my-shipment calls for a freight company?
Yes. AI Phone answers by PRO, BOL, container or tracking number and reads status from your connected tracking source or published transit-time table. When no connected status exists, it says a person will confirm and files the request instead of guessing an ETA.
Will the AI dispatch trucks or promise delivery times?
No. It never dispatches a truck, assigns a driver or changes a route; it files the pickup or change request and dispatch confirms. Delivery times are stated only when your connected or published data shows them, and never promised beyond it.
How does the AI handle hazmat and customs questions?
It answers only from the policy text you approve, such as which hazmat classes you accept or which documents an entry needs. Classification, packaging, valuation, duty and admissibility questions go to your compliance lead or licensed brokerage staff with the context attached.
What happens when a driver reports an accident or a spill?
The AI reads your approved emergency instructions as written, then transfers the call at once to your operations on-call person. The incident report is filed in parallel, so the on-call manager has the details while the call is still running.
Can the Back Office match carrier invoices to the rate confirmation?
Yes. It reads each carrier invoice against the rate confirmation, the POD and the approved accessorials, flags any line that does not match and holds it for your billing clerk; nothing is approved for payment without your OK.
Can it keep claims and detention documented?
