Questions & answers

Zanus AI for Staffing & Recruiting: questions & answers

Can an AI receptionist answer calls for a staffing agency?

Yes. AI Phone answers candidates and clients on the first ring, in 40 languages, including the 5 to 7 AM shift-start rush and Sunday-evening availability calls. It tells the caller whether a role is still open from your job board, books the interview, takes the call-off and transfers anything about pay or fit to a recruiter.

Does the AI screen, rank or reject candidates?

No. It asks only the intake questions your approved script lists, such as availability, shift preference and location, records the answers as the candidate states them, and books the interview. Recruiters decide fit. The AI never announces a hiring decision or a rejection, and it never asks about or infers protected characteristics.

Will the AI talk to candidates about pay?

No. It gives no rates, no estimates and no answer to what will I earn. Pay-day and timesheet questions are answered only from your written policy, and a payment that looks short, a dispute or an adjustment is filed and routed to payroll or the recruiter.

What happens when an associate reports an injury or a problem on site?

It goes to a person immediately. For a workplace injury the AI reads your approved wording and connects the branch manager or the workers' comp contact you name. Safety, harassment and treatment concerns are transferred to the named person with the transcript and filed as urgent; the AI does not counsel.

Can the Back Office track expiring candidate documents?

Yes. It reads the expiry dates on licenses, work authorizations and safety cards as they are filed, puts each one on the candidate’s record and the calendar, and reminds the recruiter and the associate before it lapses. Whether someone can work stays your recruiter’s decision.

Can it check timesheets before payroll runs?

Yes. It compares each timesheet with the assignment, the shift and the client’s approval, and lists for your payroll person the ones that are missing, late or do not match. It never changes pay or hours; your staff decide and correct.

How do the Front Office and the Back Office work together for a staffing agency?

The Front Office answers the applicant, captures the details and books the interview with the recruiter who owns the order; the lead, the call transcript and the booking land on the candidate’s record in the Back Office, where the documents, the onboarding and the assignment dates take over.
