Questions & answers

Zanus AI for Aerospace & Aviation: questions & answers

Can an AI answer an AOG call at 3 AM?

Yes, and it puts the call through instead of running through questions. When a maintenance controller says AOG, the AI transfers to your on-call person at once, announcing the part number, tail and location if the caller gave them. Your person presses 1 to accept, and the call is logged on the operator's record.

Will the AI say whether a part is approved for my aircraft?

No. It never states that a part is approved for an aircraft, interchangeable with another part number or an acceptable alternate, and it never asserts trace, condition or certification for a unit beyond the documents on file. Those questions go to your technical-records lead or quality manager with the transcript attached.

Does the AI answer export-control or end-use questions?

No. Export-control, end-use and destination questions are never answered by the AI; they go to the person you name, with the question captured word for word. Controlled technical data stays in your own systems and is not discussed by the front office on any channel.

Can an AI front office capture RFQs that arrive as spreadsheets?

Yes. AI E-mail reads an RFQ spreadsheet of part numbers line by line, matches each line to your approved catalog and flags unknown lines for a person. Quotes are drafted from your price lists for one-click authorization, and nothing on special pricing goes out without your desk.

Can the Back Office check a trace package before a part ships?

Yes. It reads the 8130-3 or Form 1 tag, the certificate of conformity and the back-to-birth records, matches part and serial numbers against the order and lists what is missing. Release and airworthiness decisions stay with your certificated staff.

Can it keep calibration and shelf-life dates from slipping?

Yes. It reads the due dates from each calibration record and each batch of sealant, adhesive and other shelf-life material, puts them on the calendar with an owner, and tells your quality team before a tool or a material goes out of date.

How do the Front Office and the Back Office work together for an MRO shop?

The Front Office answers the buyer, captures the RFQ line by line and books the shop visit; the lead, the call transcript and the booking land on the operator’s record in the Back Office, where the work order, the trace documents and the due dates take over.
