ZANUS FRONT OFFICE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

Next-generation AI for Public Safety & Justice (non-emergency). Try it free on your own agency. No credit card.

The non-emergency line answered. The records desk off the phone. Emergencies always go to the emergency number. ZANUS AI Front Office for Public Safety is the AI public desk for police and sheriff non-emergency lines, fire-prevention offices, court clerk counters, corrections visitation desks and emergency-management public information. It answers residents on phone, website chat, email and web forms — how to get a report copy, what a records request costs as published, is my request ready, what are the visitation rules — books the appointment, files the request, sends the status update. It never handles emergencies: a caller in danger hears your approved instruction to dial the emergency number, or is transferred to a person at once. Legal, investigative and case-specific matters go to your staff. Grounded only in the information your agency publishes: no source, no claim.

Resident contact

A call to the non-emergency number at 9:15 PM, a chat on the records page, an email from an insurer, a permit form — a resident, a family, an attorney’s office, a partner. Day or night, in any of 40 languages.

Answer

How to get a report copy, what it costs as published, hours and counters, what to bring to fingerprinting, visitation rules, the shelter list during a storm — from your published information only. No source, no claim.

Understand

Non-emergency or not — first, always: a caller describing danger hears your approved instruction to dial the emergency number or is transferred at once. Then: which desk — records, permits, clerk, visitation, public information — and whether a person must answer.

Act

Book the fingerprinting or visitation slot, file the records request complete, send the fee schedule and the form, transfer the victim who wants to speak to someone with the context whispered in, call back the hang-up.

Follow up

The appointment reminder, the status update when the desk marks the request ready, the program reminder, the freed visitation slot offered to the waiting list, the permit application left unfinished — on schedule, until done.

Record & report

Every touch on the resident’s front-office record: what was asked, what was answered, from which approved source. Every morning a briefing: what was handled overnight, who needs a person today.

AI-driven end to end. A person wherever your rules require it. Anything about an emergency, an investigation, a specific case, a release decision or a complaint against personnel waits for your staff; the routine public desk, the AI handles and reports.

One knowledge base feeds every channel

Websites, uploads, pages and articles, Q&A, battle cards, images and videos — you approve it once, and phone, chat, email, demos and quotes all answer from the same verified source. No source, no claim.

Private by architecture

Your Front Office runs in a private Cloudflare environment dedicated to your company — your own data-processing container, not a shared pool. Your knowledge stays yours: it never trains global models like GPT or Grok, and it is never shared.

Auto-Call — outbound AI calls on your rules

Auto-Call — the AI calls your residents

Not only answering. From an automated event (a due date, a ready order, tomorrow’s appointment), a scheduled funnel or a list, the AI calls your registered contacts and announces your message — or talks as an agent: answers the question, moves the appointment, confirms, collects the missing detail. Call window, attempts, voicemail policy and consent rules are yours; every call is transcribed.

  • “Hi Mr. Davis, this is the Fairview Police Records Unit: your requested report is ready for pickup or download from the records portal.”
  • “Hi Ms. Lopez, this is Fairview Fire Prevention calling to schedule your annual business inspection. Would Tuesday at 10 or Thursday at 1 work for you?”

Scheduled Auto-Call comes inside a solution — see pricing; calling back the hang-ups is part of AI Phone. How it works, in the Phone chapter ›

Questions, answered

Does the AI ever handle emergency calls?

No. The Front Office serves the non-emergency public desk only — records, report status, permits, appointments, visitation, community programs, public information. If a caller on the non-emergency line describes danger, the AI reads your approved instruction word for word — hang up and dial the emergency number — or transfers to a person immediately, by your rules. It does not assess, triage or dispatch, and it gives no legal or investigative answers: anything about a specific case goes to the clerk’s office, the records desk or the person’s attorney.

What information does the AI hold?

The conversation record only: who contacted the desk, what they asked, what was answered from which published source, what was booked or filed. Case files, incident reports, evidence, criminal history and other protected records never enter the Front Office, and it does not connect to criminal-justice databases. Your Front Office runs on a private data-processing environment dedicated to your agency; your information never trains public models. Agencies whose policy requires an isolated environment with specific enterprise-grade security certifications ask for a private environment — available on request.

Does it replace our records-management or court system?

No. It sits in front of them: the AI answers, books and files, then writes the front-office result — the appointment, the request, the contact — back through Connectors: native calendar sync, webhooks and API. Your records-management, court, jail and permitting systems stay the record; release decisions stay with your staff; the non-emergency line stops ringing at the records desk.
